Favourite Opening Sequences

I like the opening sequence of Three Can Play That Game because it goes straight into the film were a couple starts arguing, this links to the first part of the film which is Two Can Play That Game and the audience will have to watch the first part of the film to get the joke at the beginning of the woman that nearly messed up her relationship in the first part and is now seen trying to help another couple in the second part of the film. This automatically attracts the audiences attention by starting of the film off with a joke. This could be relevant to my type of opening sequence as it falls under the genre of comedy and will be easy to produce as you do not need special effects and is less complicated as the film just starts off with conversations rather than showing a birds eye view of surroundings.

I also like the opening sequence of Juno because it starts as a normal scene but then turns into animations as she walks down the road and all the surroundings and people are being shown. The animations reflect her personality and the type of person she is aswell as the things she likes. For example through the animations we can see that she is not a girly girl type person and is more of a person that likes to be on their own and do their own thing. It will be a good idea for my opening sequence to show the main character and find ways to show the audience what type of personality the main character has. eg. If my main character were a clumsy person, they could be shown always in a rush to places and dropping things and being clumsy.
